LIVE ACTION ROLE-PLAY GROUPS - L.A.R.P.

LARP groups are welcome at Johns Lee Wood although we do limit bookings to one group per month from November through to May (inclusive). Whole-Site exclusive bookings are required and will be charged for a minimum of 60 people.

BOOKING INFORMATION - LARP GROUPS

You would have exclusive use of the four cabins & the entire campsite with the exception of the following areas; the log sleeping shelters, our activity areas, the chapel, the warden’s cabin & surrounding staff areas & any areas cordoned off for safety/maintenance.

Staff will normally be on site during the weekend and will often be carrying out maintenance work on-site and/or on buildings. If you have a particular need for privacy in a certain area or at certain times please specify this in the comments box on the booking request form.

We have a 250 Litre freezer available to rent in an external store at the shower block.

Arrival
Duty Wardens are typically on-site by 7pm on Friday evenings. If you would like earlier access to the campsite and cabins please make a request when booking. Please understand it is not always possible to accommodate early arrival times. You must notify the warden team on-site when you arrive.

Departure
Campers are required to notify the warden before you are ready to leave so that they can check the site/cabin with you before you leave site.

ALL cabins need to be emptied, cleaned & ready for inspection by 3pm on day of departure.

Toilets & Showers

We have a large brick built shower and toilet block in the centre of the site. This has male and female facilities with hot showers, toilets and washbasins. Hot water and showers are available free of charge.
Pots/pans etc are NOT to be washed inside the shower block as this marks the sinks & blocks the waste pipes.

Vehicles

Vehicles should be parked in the car park on arrival until you have checked in with the Duty Wardens. Vehicles with HEAVY / LARGE CAMPING KIT will then be allowed up the main driveway to unload (please speak to the Duty Wardens for vehicle access). Vehicles must then be returned to the car park within 1 hour. Vehicles are not allowed on any campsites and must stay on the gravel driveways at all times.

All roads/drives/tracks/paths & exit doors MUST be kept clear at ALL times.

LARP GROUP Information (in addition to our standard campsite rules)

HOW TO BOOK

Please carefully read the Camp Rules and ALL the information on this page.

The easiest way to book is to use our on-line booking system, Online Scout Manager (OSM). Bookings are accepted on a provisional basis and will be accepted by the booking secretary once the group details have been confirmed.

You will then receive an automatic email, via OSM to confirm your request is available. Once your request has been accepted, you will need to send a 50% deposit by bank transfer for ALL bookings within 4 weeks of confirmation or 2 weeks before your camp (whichever is sooner) in order to secure the booking.

All fees, including any outstanding balance, must be paid in full before leaving site. We accept bank transfers, cash or cheques. Fees not paid before leaving site will incur an admin fee.
